5 Questions to help you form an ideaThe Idea & Formatting Task
An idea initially develops into an outline for a story, and as such may well begin to grow characters.
To keep control of the of the idea and to stop it growing into a 3 hour epic you can use the following questions:
Pick a film that you really like and ask these questions about that film. Open a pages document and put your film title at the top. Answer the questions and then find a relevant image to use from the internet.
You can press the ctrl key and click on an internet image and choose copy image from the drop down menu. You can then paste the image into your document.
Once you have typed up your document and added some images, watch the video below and try and format it so that it looks more professional.

- What is the situation at the start of the story
- Whose situation is it? (The lead character of protagonist)
- What is the central quest? (What is the lead character trying to do?)
- Who stands in the way of success? (Who is the bad guy or the antagonist?)
- How does the quest end? (What is the resolution?)
